The Space Management Advisory Committee is organized on a rotation scheme for representation of each Athens campus planning unit in two years of any three-year period. Members are appointed by deans, vice presidents, or other appropriate planning unit heads. The committee meets monthly to provide advice and consultation to the Provost and others as warranted on the following issues:
- Athens campus planning unit space needs and formalized space assessments;
- plans and options for responses to planning unit space needs, including space reallocation scenarios in or resulting from capital projects;
- centrally funded annual small project and classroom renovation plans (assuming availability of funds for such purposes);
- space management policies and practices, including facilities use, scheduling priorities, allocations, utilization review, inventory verification, and space information management.
